Amanda Seyfried, the 37-year-old actress, recently spoke with PEOPLE about balancing motherhood and her career while attending the premiere of her upcoming Apple TV+ series, The Crowded Room, in New York City. Seyfried, who shares two children with her husband Thomas Sadoski, revealed that she had her daughter on set quite a bit during filming and loves merging her family life with her work. She even joked that her daughter may have a future in acting herself, as she is a « child of actors. » The Crowded Room will premiere on Apple TV+ on June 9th.

Seyfried’s character in The Crowded Room, Rya Goodwin, is an interrogator tasked with interviewing Danny Sullivan, played by Tom Holland. Seyfried filmed from March through September last year, and her daughter would often sit in her dressing room and draw while Seyfried worked. Seyfried expressed her gratitude for being able to merge her two passions and have her family come to work with her.

In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Seyfried revealed that her daughter may have already been bitten by the acting bug. After Seyfried won outstanding lead actress in a limited series at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards for her role in The Dropout, her daughter cried because she was confused about how her mother spoke to her through the TV. Seyfried joked that her daughter’s reaction was unexpected, as she was supposed to be in bed and going to school the next day.
