Former Great British Bake Off finalist Luis Troyano, who starred in the show’s Series 5 in 2014, died of cancer at age out of 48
A statement has been released by M’s management team Troyano, AK Artist Management, to announce his passing on Tuesday
« Unfortunately, my lovely client lost his courageous battle with esophageal cancer last week, » the statement read

AK Artist Management also shared a link to a fundraiser organized by his family in his memory to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support
The JustGiving fundraiser set up in his honor includes a message from his partner Louise Troyano, which reads: “Your life has been a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and you miss beyond measure «
It also includes a message from M Troyano, thanking everyone who took care of him during his cancer treatment
‘Special thanks to Macmillan Cancer Support, East Cheshire Hospice and the NHS including Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and Stockport NHS Foundation Trust for trying to save my life and their tireless work to try to eliminate cancer, ‘he said

The year after his appearance in The Great British Bake Off, M Troyano published his first book titled Bake It Great
He once said in an interview with the pastry blog Baking Mad that one of his favorite moments on the show was from Bread Week, when he wowed Judge Paul Hollywood with his rye rolls.
