Tunisia’s coach Mondher Kebaier presented his final squad for participation in the TotalEnergies Africa Cup 2021 on Thursday, December 30th, 2021, which is due to start on January 9th in Cameroon.
The squad of Carthage Eagles comprised 28 players, and the most prominent absentee were Ferjani Sassi from Al Duhail from Qatar and Al-Moez Hassan, goalkeeper from Club Africain, as well as Saad Beguir, midfielder from Saudi Abha and striker from Pyramids of Egypt, Fakhredine bin Youssef.
There was a place for Arsenal’s young defender Omar Rekik and young Manchester United star Hannibal Mjebri, who topped the recently concluded FIFA Arab Cup with Carthage Eagles.
Tunisia reached the FIFA Arab Cup final before going after Extra time against eventual champions Algeria lost.
