A 4.3 magnitude earthquake occurred tonight at a depth of 10 km in the Bay of Bengal 302 km northeast of Batticaloa, the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said.
A spokesman for the GSMB said There is no risk of a tsunami due to the earthquake that occurred at 6.46 p.m.
According to the Indian National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 occurred at a depth of 21 km, 515 km northeast of Colombo at 6.44 p.m.
