A murder investigation began after a child found dead in a pool in a Queensland house failed to drown.
The four-year-old boy was found dead on August 29th at Munburra house in central Queensland.
« An autopsy and a scientific examination have now shown that the cause of death was incompatible with drowning, and therefore the police have started an investigation into murder, » said the police on Wednesday.
« The circumstances, how and why if the child was in the pool are under investigation. «
A local media report of the child’s death at the time indicated that the child was pulled out of the water around 5:00 p.m.
There was one « Desperate CPR effort to resuscitate him » before the paramedics arrived, the Daily Mercury reported.
