Adam Rippon might get married in the courthouse, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t thought about how his “messyness” co-stars might be involved.
« I’m planning to get married in the courthouse right now, but if I had a big wedding I would wish it that way, ”he explained. “I want Teddy [Ray] to officiate. I want Tori [Spelling] to lead me to the altar and I really want Snooki [Nicole Polizzi] to accompany the whole after-party. «
» I’m kind of cheap, « joked the 31-year-old figure skater about his reserved wedding with Jussi-Pekka Kajaala. “I’m cute but cheap. Well, I just don’t want to have a wedding. I also make out every day, so I don’t need a day that is all about me. ”
“ Jersey Shore ”star Snooki agreed to Rippon’s request, but suggested that she multitask as his flower girl on the big day « because [she] is small ».
« I wanted to say flower girl, but I needed you in a bigger role than just going downstairs! » he has answered. (Snooki said she could do both.)
Rippon and Kajaala began dating in 2018 – the same year he made history as the first openly gay American athlete to take home a medal at the Winter Olympics.
“We got married alone on an island. It was perfect because it can be a lot with family and friends and everyone has an opinion, ”she said. « So we did it on our own. »Spelling interrupted: « I wish we were friends then! » before adding, « I would have tried making out with you at your wedding, so that would have been a problem! »
