ADELAIDE: India’s Ramkumar Ramanathan and Rohan Bopanna reached the men’s double finals of the Adelaide International 1 ATP tournament on Saturday in Adelaide. In the semifinals of the ATP 250 men, the Indians defeated the fourth seeded Bosnian-Mexican pair Tomislav Brkic and Santiago Gonzalez 6: 2, 6: 4.

The Indian combination now hits the top in the summit fight of the ATP 250 event -set Ivan Dodig from Croatia and the Brazilian Marcelo Melo. The Indian duo had previously defeated the French-Monegasque team of Benjamin Bonzi and Hugo Nys 6: 1, 6: 3 in the quarter-finals of the men’s doubles.

Elsewhere in Adelaide are the Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Ukrainian Partner Nadiia Kichenok fell from the semi-finals of the women’s doubles at the Adelaide International 2022 WTA 500 tournament.

The Australians Ashleigh Barty and Storm Sanders defeated the Indo-Ukrainian duo with 6-1, 2-6, 10-8 in the encounter, which lasted an hour and five minutes.
