HYDERABAD: In response to the deepening crisis in Afghanistan, AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said on Monday: « Whether India recognizes the Taliban or not, the government must open channels of communication » with the hardliner -Organization that the war-torn nation took over. On a thread with three tweets, Owaisi said this didn’t happen « out of the blue ». “As always, Narendraji’s government seems overwhelmed. It only starts to act when a crisis is around the corner, « he tweeted.

» The US withdrawal from #Afghanistan was inevitable. As early as 2013, I advised the government to open diplomatic channels with the #Taliban in order to safeguard our strategic interests. We have made $ 3 billion in investments in Afghanistan. But nobody paid any attention to & now, what is the government going to do? In 2019, I reiterated my concerns about the inevitable truth about #Afghanistan.

While Pakistan, US-&-Taliban held talks in Moscow, @PMOIndia counted the number of times he hugged Trump. We still don’t know what the government’s policy on Afghanistan is. Regardless of whether India recognizes the Taliban or not, the government must open channels of communication. This is nothing out of the blue. As always, Narendraji’s government seems overwhelmed. It only starts to act when a crisis is around the corner (sic), ”he said.

Meanwhile, TRS Labor President and Minister KT Rama Rao also went to Twitter and said the images from Afghanistan were really disturbing. “Where is the UN? Shouldn’t @UN intervene when situations get terrible !! Really disturbing pictures of #AfganistanCrisis #StayStrongAfghanistan (sic), « he tweeted.
