WITH most of their squad isolated after their unfortunate trip to South Africa, Münster has five debutants in their starting XI and seven others on the bench. Here’s your cheat sheet for tomorrow’s game.

Born in Rochestown, Campbell (19) was a center-forward for Cork’s All-Ireland minor football winning team in 2019 and decided to go rugby and received a contract at Munster Academy this year. Visited PBC Cork and competed for Young Munster in the All Ireland League (AIL).

An injury has held Wren (22) back since he was part of the Irish U-20 Grand Slam in 2019, but the former PBC -Student has undisputed quality.

Another Ennis native, Coughlan, 19, teamed up with his new signing Tony Butler for the city’s U-18s last year and could go off the bench with him in the Champions Cup. Plays for Shannon.

Johann van Graan is a big fan of the Ennis man, Butler’s appearance for Münster ‘A’ against Connacht caught the eye last month. As a Harty Cup winner with St. Flannan’s College and a Clare minor, he has also signed up for Shannon.

The Kinsale-born Buckley is destined for big things in Münster, even if his debut is a little earlier than expected came. As a sizable operator, they considered the 21-year-old for a back-row role this weekend.

Moore, the most seasoned debutant, was recruited to cover before the start of the season but has yet to perform. The New Zealand-born Australian with Irish qualifications and 25-year-old has super rugby experience with the Melbourne Rebels.

The French native from Bandon (22) is part of the rich talent factory of West Cork at Munster’s Academy. Plays club rugby for UCC.

The 21-year-old from Midleton won a Munster Schools Senior Cup with CBC in Cork before moving to Garryowen as a senior player. Part of Ireland’s U-20 squad last season.

His compatriot at Waterford and former Irish U-20 second row partner Thomas Ahern has been in the spotlight a lot, but that’s partly because O’Connor (above) has had a streak of bad luck with injuries since he was a teenager. At 6 feet 7 inches, he’s built for the top level.

Like Forde, Moloney isn’t in Munster Academy, but the native Ennis gets his big chance here. Featured ‘A’ for Munster on the back of his work with the soaring Young Munster in the AIL.

19-year-old Okeke was number 8 for Ireland in the Six Nations last year and is a strong ball carrier who plays in Shannon shone this season.

As part of the Munster Provincial Talent Squad and not yet in the actual academy, the blindside flanker Forde impressed for Cork Constitution.
