In Texas, things are usually bigger and the total number of runs scored is no exception. The Houston Astros played their series against the Texas Rangers, who averaged the most runs per game in MLB, and will try to maintain their offensive on Saturday in Arlington.
Rangers pitcher Jordan Lyles has a respectable 2- 3 record but a 5.93 ERA and an MLB high 29 runs are allowed. He did his worst job at home, with an ERA of 8.43 in four starts, an average of just over four innings per start, and 2.6 home runs and 4.2 walks per nine innings.
The Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. has a 14-18 lifelong road record with 4.79 ERA and 1.431 WHIP, compared to 21-8 with 2.57 ERA and 1.081 WHIP at home.
The Astros entered the series after scoring at least four runs and an average of 5.4 runs per game in 14 consecutive games, both at home and on the go. They were 13-5-2 to the over and had the lowest percentage of strike per bat. Both bullpens are in the lower half of the league in the ERA, so the runs should keep piling up.
