WASHINGTON – Bob Ferry – a former bullets center who established the NBA championship team as general manager in 1978 – has died at the age of 84.
After a 10-year career as a player, Ferry built his reputation as an executive from – He was named NBA Manager of the Year in 1979 and 1982.
His son Danny Ferry began his career at DeMatha High School before moving to Duke and then to the NBA.
