CM – Brooks Koepka is confident that he will catch up with Tiger Woods on 15 big titles

Brooks Koepka has four big titles and he says there's no reason he can't keep up with Tiger Woods' brand of 15.

Brooks Koepka has won four major titles and has been a constant challenger at the game’s biggest events for the past five years.

In his view, even at 31, there’s still plenty of time to put Tiger Woods on the list of big wins – maybe even Jack Nicklaus.

« In my opinion, I’ll catch him in the majors. I think so. I don’t see any reason that could stop me, « Koepka said in a recent Golf Digest interview about Tiger Woods‘ 15 big titles.

« I’m 31. I have 14 years left. If I win one a year, I get Jack (who has a record of 18 professional major wins). People misunderstand that as arrogant. No, that’s just my belief. If I don’t have that belief, then I shouldn’t be out there. If you think you can’t win, why the hell are you serving? ”

In an in-depth interview, Koepka also talked about the Ryder Cup and how difficult it is for him to move from an individual to a team mentality switch:

« It’s difficult. There are times when I think I won my match. I did my job. What do you want from me? I know how to take responsibility for the shots, I meet every week. Well, someone hit a bad blow and left me in a bad place and I know this hole is a loss. This is new and you have to change your mindset. You change a week a year from a constant individual sport to a team sport. It’s so far from my normal routine. I can barely see my [personal] team. It’s hard to even go to the gym. At the Presidents Cup in New York we had to be at 5am in the fitness st udio to get it in. We went to the Equinox and me, Dustin and Tiger, and we came back and went to a team meeting. I nap a lot under normal conditions. I could take a nap for an hour, an hour and a half, or just chill on the couch and watch SportsCenter, before the rounds, after the rounds, whatever. There is no time for that at the Ryder Cup. There is no time to decompress. «
