CM – Broome buildings jiggle as earthquake strikes the WA coast

It was felt as far as Darwin in the north when the buildings in the tourist town of Broome wobbled and rattled.

So far, no damage has been found and the Bureau of Meteorology says no tsunami threat for coastal regions is to be expected is.

« A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck 209 km west of Broome at around 3 p.m. today at a depth of 10 km, » tweeted the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA.
