Berlin: Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry both scored two goals when Bayern Munich scored a massive 5-1 win at Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday to return to the top of the Bundesliga.

After a shocking defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt two weeks ago and the loss of the top spot to Borussia Dortmund overnight, Bayern recovered in style against the other title hopes Leverkusen.

Tied for first and second place before the weekend, the class difference between the two teams became clear when Bayern beat their hosts with a brutal and brilliant performance in the first half.
