Balter said the company continues to work with the third-party vendor to better understand the details of how this breach occurred and the processes in place to resolve it. « And we’re going directly to any customer whose name or email address may have been accessed. We’ve also posted an update on this incident on our website. »

« The customer information passed on via this third party provider is limited to the full name and email address only. She said Bunnings takes the security of our customers ‘and team members’ personal information very seriously and will thoroughly investigate this incident.

In a post, the scheduling platform reported that her account on Amazon’s AWS servers was compromised, which led to it that she was « temporarily unable to service customer accounts and prevented customers from accessing their data ».

According to FlexBooker, the data extracted from the servers included first and last names, email addresses and telephone numbers . Credit card information and other payment card numbers were reportedly inaccessible.

In response to the outage, FlexBooker said it worked closely with Amazon to restore a backup and was able to restore operations within 12 hours. FlexBooker said it continues to work with Amazon to understand what happened.
