Chucky is back for more bloodshed in the brand new trailer for the upcoming Syfy / USA Network series that was released on Sunday as part of the Comic-Con @ Home panel.
The clip embedded above introduces us to Jake ( Transparents Zackary Arthur) shows how the boy meets the murderous redhead at a neighborhood sale. Of course, it doesn’t take long for the doll to get back to its old tricks … and the bodies start to pile up.
Jake is quickly becoming a social outcast, and everywhere he goes, “death seems to follow “Says an astute cop. The new footage is full of sharp guns, punchy one-liners and frightened, soon-to-be-dead people as Chucky embarks on yet another series of murders.
Noticeably absent from the trailer are the returning Child’s Play franchise vets Jennifer Tilly, who play her role as Tiffany plays Valentine, with Alex Vincent (who plays Andy Barclay) and Christine Elise (as Kyle). The cast is rounded off by Devon Sawa (Final Destination), Teo Briones (Ratched), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak) and Björgvin Arnarson (The Seventh Day). Also, original voice actor Brad Dourif is back as the voice of Chucky.
Don Mancini – who wrote the original Child’s Play film and all six sequels, and also directed three of the films – serves as creator, showrunner, and executive producer . Original film series producer David Kirschner is also on board as an EP.
