Of the six actors who made up the core cast of Friends, Courteney Cox was the only one who never received an Emmy nomination – and during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show, Cox said the snub hurt. Speaking to co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, who both won Emmys for their Friends roles, Cox said, « It always hurt my feelings. » In addition to Aniston and Kudrow’s victories, Matt LeBlanc received three Emmy awards -Nicks, while David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry were both nominated once. « When every single actor but me was nominated, it definitely hurt my feelings, » said Cox, as Metro reported. « I was happy for everyone, and when it finally came down to it: ‘Oh, I’m the only one?’ It hurts. »
« I just want to get involved in certain things sometimes, » she continued before turning to Kudrow and Aniston. « Those girls on the show and the boys, they all deserve every [nomination]. I’m impressed with your talent. »
Cox added that her 2010 Golden Globes nomination for Cougar Town helped her Alleviate disappointment. « The only thing that made me feel good because they all won and got so many awards that I was nominated for Cougar Town in the first year – a Golden Globe, » she said. « And I want to say, ‘Oh who cares?’ It meant everything to me. «
» I wanted my coworkers to respect me, and I know the Golden Globes are not necessarily your coworkers, but it’s like ‘Ah!’ explained Cox.
