CM – Courtney Punished for Violating Restart Procedure – Supercars

James Courtney was given a five-second post-race penalty for violating the safety car restart procedure.

Brown was initially fined for a safety car violation, but was later punished It was later found that Courtney had left early on the restart, which came after the race was neutralized via the close combat in the first corner.

Courtney has dropped to 10th, behind wildcard Kurt Kostecki, Tim Slade, Brodie Kostecki and Thomas Randle.

The cars will return to the track on Sunday at 9:45 a.m. AEST for the ARMOR ALL qualifying for race 13.
