JAKARTA (May 31): The number of coronavirus cases in Southeast Asian countries exceeded four million, according to official figures, including 78,515 deaths and more than 3.6 million recoveries.

In the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) a total of 25,603 more cases were registered last day, compared to 28,716 cases registered the previous day, the Anadolu agency reported on Monday.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia exceeded 1.82 million with 50,578 deaths, followed by the Philippines with more than 1.23 million cases and 20,966 deaths to date.

Malaysia has reported 572,357 cases so far as coronavirus infections in the country rose to record levels last week.
