CM – COVID-19 restrictions for Mt Gambier in SA

A new COVID-19 case in South Australia has resulted in severe new restrictions on three community areas in the southeastern part of the state.

Harsh new restrictions were put in place for Mt Gambier and two other municipal areas in South Australia after a woman tested positive for COVID-19.

The restrictions, which went into effect from 4pm on Monday, are expected to be at least Stay in effect for seven days, said SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens.

Areas affected include Mount Gambier City, the District Council of Grant and the Wattle Range Council in the southeastern state.

The state government also announced suggests that the cross-border community bubble will be reduced and that testing and vaccination requirements will be introduced.
