CM – Cyclist Teniel Campbell fails to complete Worlds Road Race – Trinidad and Tobago Newsday


The cyclist from TRINIDAD and Tobago, Teniel Campbell, did not finish the elite women’s road race at the International Cycling Union Road World Championships in Flanders, Belgium on Saturday.

Campbell was the first woman to represented the TT at the Olympic Games when she made her debut at the 2020 Tokyo Games from July 23 to August 8.

The Italian Elisa Balsamo won the 157.7 km race on Saturday in three hours, 52 minutes and 27 seconds.

Marianne Vos from the Netherlands came second and Katarzyna Niewiadoma from Poland took bronze at the event, which was attended by over 170 cyclists.
