WELLINGTON: The in shape batsman Daryl Mitchell has replaced the injured Devon Conway in the New Zealand squad for the upcoming away series with two tests against India.
Conway was deprived of the India Tour and the ICC T20 World Cup final on Sunday against Trans-Tasman rivals Australia ruled out as he suffered a broken hand in New Zealand’s semi-final win against England on Wednesday.
New Zealand coach Gary Stead said Conway would be after the next week Three-game series in India to return home with the T20 squad while Mitchell will stay for Testing.
