The view of the Deer District overflowing with happy Milwaukee people was inspiring during the NBA playoffs. But just because the postseason is coming to an end doesn’t mean the activity and community will be there too, as Deer District today announced a new series of night markets coming to the square this summer.
Presented by Froedtert &, the health network of the Medical College of Wisconsin and produced by Arthur Ircink, creator of « Wisconsin Foodie », the Deer District Market will take place in the plaza outside the Fiserv Forum from 5pm to 9pm. seven Wednesdays and one Saturday for the remainder of the summer starting July 28th.
The night market will focus on helping small local food businesses – especially those owned by minorities – as well as bringing healthy and locally produced fresh food to the area.
« I am honored to bring my experience and connections to Deer District to create something new and exciting that builds on the recent momentum in the district while supporting small businesses, » Ircink said in a press release.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that you’ve always been passionate about film, Matt Mueller has always been passionate about film. Whether it was bringing up the latest movie reviews for his show-and-tell in first grade or writing movie reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is far too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he’s not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking too ardently about « Piranha 3D », Matt is likely watching literally any sport (excluding cricket) or working at a local movie theater. Or watch a movie. Yeah, he’s probably watching a movie.
