Citing the report of her Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG), she said that the QRTs in Bicol, Central Visayas and Eastern Visayas “are now prepared and ready to provide technical assistance and resource expansion assistance to locations along the typhoon trail. «

The DSWD said its Field Office (FO) VI initially prepositioned over 6,000 food packages, of which 3,000 were being prepared in Bago City, Negros Occidental; more than 1,000 in Dumarao, Capiz; and more than 2,000 in Banga, Aklan.

The DSWD said at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th that its headquarters (CO), field offices (FOs) and National Resource Operations Center (NROC) “have supplies and preparedness funds of more than 930 million pesos « .

Of the total amount, P 83 million is earmarked as standby money for the purchase of additional relief supplies for disaster relief operations.

More than 350,000 FFPs are available for immediate distribution to families who will be affected by Odette. </ The DSWD said it is working closely with Local Government Units (LGUs) who are the first responders when natural and man-made disasters occur, as outlined in Republic Act No. 10121 or the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010.
