For Iman Shumpert, his journey to « Dancing With The Stars » didn’t go smoothly. The NBA star has certainly given it his all every week, and while it shows, he’s struggled to translate those improvements into good results. And while fans turned their backs on him during this trip, it looks like Shumpert is now ready to make it better. For Horror Night, Shumpert and professional Daniella Karagach Contemporary danced to ‘I Got 5 On It (Tethered Mix from US.). ) ‘by Luniz ft Michael Marshall, inspired by the movie’ Us’. « DWTS » Grease Night: Amanda Kloots Gets Near Perfect Score, Fans Call It « Boring » Shumpert announced that he has many coaches in his life but none like Karagach. She had a feeling of trust, honesty and openness. Even Karagach praised Shumpert as a partner, hoping that for him she was one of the best coaches he has ever had. She stated that the partnership was critical to performing contemporary, a dance form he was unfamiliar with. This week, their trust was really the focus as they finished their performance with a standing ovation. Len Goodman was full of praise for Karagach’s amazing choreography. Bruno Tonioli noted that this performance was her masterpiece. Carrie Ann Inaba couldn’t help but bow to them and say they danced like amoebas and the whole performance was awesome. Derek Hough also stood on the table to cheer them on, explaining that he was speechless and this would be considered a performance people would watch over and over again.
The judges all rated Shumpert 10s, which resulted in a score out of 40 out of 40 led. This Shumpert was not only the first 10 of the season, but he was now also at the top of the leaderboard with JoJo Siwa.
