CM – EFA President Gamal Allam tested positive for COVID-19


The President of the Egyptian Football Association, Gamal Allam, tested positive for COVID-19 during his stay with the national team in Cameroon for the Africa Cup.

In the run-up to the Africa Cup, Allam was the head of the Egyptian National team accompanied to Cameroon.

However, according to the Egyptian Football Association, Allam showed no symptoms and seems to be in a stable condition.

The national players were also tested before their opening game, luckily the overall squad results were negative .

Goalkeeper Mohamed Abou-Gabal and goalkeeping coach Essam El-Hadary have also recovered from COVID-19 and are on their way to the national team in Cameroon.

The Pharaohs begin their journey today at AFCON as they face Nigeria at the height of the third day of the tournament.

The game is a crucial game for the teams, a group victory would mean a much easier round of 16.
