A heartless thief took advantage of the generosity of the Melburnians and stole several donation cans before Memorial Day.
It is believed that the same perpetrator went to a podiatrist’s office, bank, and newsagent on different days and took the cans.
The suspect is an elderly man with a walker who infuriates those who raise money because selling poppies fund the welfare of the veterans.
