Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka in conversation with BT Sport: « There are a lot of positive things in the second half, it’s a semi-final, and to start the game like this … we haven’t created anything passive, we lost every duel. I am glad that we picked each other in the second half and gave ourselves a chance in the Emirates.

« We showed that we are better than them, even at 10 Men. So it’s up to us. If we play right we can beat anyone. «

Two goals and three assists for Edinson Cavani, two goals and two assists for Bruno Fernandes. It was a great night for Manchester United.

Manchester United is this first team to score six goals in a major European semi-final since Real Madrid in May 1964.

This was the first time United have scored six goals in a European game … since they beat 14 years ago Roma scored seven goals.

Manchester United goalscorer Paul Pogba told BT Sport: « The result is positive but not over yet. We have to say, concentrate and play a nice game with the same mentality. «

» In the first half we made two mistakes and conceded two goals. After the second goal we were a bit everywhere. «

» At half time we said let’s do the right things, let’s do simple things. The manager spoke. We were all motivated to score as many goals as possible. «

Regarding the penalty against him: » Just don’t attack. I don’t know how to attack. I’m trying to be the english. I have to practice more. I have to practice to approach armless. It is unfortunate. I’ve had a lot of bad luck with penalties this season. «

It’s quick from Bukayo Saka and he had a great game tonight, but was that a foul? It almost looked like he initiated contact with Manu Trigueros and not the other way around.

A Very exciting semi-final first leg. Arsenal started off terribly in Spain. The two-legged semi-final looked to be over, but then the pendulum swung back in Arsenal’s favor. Mikel Arteta will feel a lot better about things than he might have done. You have saved a lot and still have a good chance of reaching the final.

The final will take place on Wednesday May 26th at the Gdansk Stadium in Poland. Could it be Manchester United versus Arsenal? It will be Manchester anyway Be United against someone.

Arsenal looked completely different in the 2-0 win against 10 men, but that seemed to give Mikel Arteta’s side a boost and an important away goal from Nicolas Pepe means they may be the happier de tonight r both teams are.

A fantastic night for Manchester United and a good night for Ole too. At halftime he had a big team talk and the players reacted in a spectacular way.

It’s over. Surely Manchester United will finally win a semi-final under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The substitute collects Thomas Partey’s clever ball and shoots at goal from a narrow angle, but Gerónimo Rulli saves well for a corner.

Josh Hammond: Are you going to bring out the brackets for a score ?! We want 7 (seven)

Matthew Hague: 6 now for Utd … and Ole was scheduled for his pre-game setup

Rachel Fleming: I’ll curse it for the second leg.

I think Manchester United are in the final

Arsenal managed to keep the dangerous Gerard Moreno off goal. He won the flick for Villarreal’s second and Bernd Leno was an excellent rescuer from the Spaniard’s best chance. Moreno looks another header into the goal, but that’s no problem for Bernd Leno.

Villarreal appeals when they believe that the ball hit Granit Xhaka on the arm in the box, but nothing works.
