In a hotel in Melbourne that houses refugees and asylum seekers, two fires have been set on different levels.
Thirty firefighters were raised by an automatic fire alarm at around 1:31 pm on Thursday in the five-story Park Hotel in Swanston Street to the scene.
A Victoria Fire Department spokesman said there had been fires on the third and fourth floors of the hotel, including one in a room.
One of the fires was in a room and it isn’t known how one of the fires broke out, he said.
The firefighters used breathing apparatus and a pallet truck to extinguish the fires and ventilate the building.
Asylum seekers and refugees have been in part for almost two years Years in the hotel.
