CM – Fireys respond to a fire in the second house in the suburbs

Firefighters are in a hurry to put out a second house fire in Raceview on Friday. The two flames lit less than two miles apart.

Fireys put out a fire on the roof of a low brick house on Mahogany Street in the early hours of the morning. Police set up a crime scene after a man with life threatening injuries was rushed to the hospital.

Police believe a group of people attacked the man at home around 4:45 a.m. when he was 40 years old.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said five crews responded to another house fire on Rumsey Drive and arrived at 11 a.m.

« When they arrived, the exterior of the house was badly caught in fire and it looked like it was on the top floor, « he said.

A team of breathing apparatus were on the top level trying to put out the fire with the fire that was brought under control by 11:15 am.
