MASSACHUSETTS – Later on Saturday, more heavy rains and potentially severe storms could hit the water-soaked parts of New England.
The National Weather Service added a clock to its flash flood monitoring for areas west of Route 128 as well as Rhode Island and Southwest New Hampshire for severe thunderstorms for western Massachusetts.
Up to 1 to 2 inches of rain are expected Saturday through Sunday in central and western Massachusetts – keeping the state updated for its wettest July on record The weather should improve a bit in time for the work week with a mixed Monday followed by a 30 percent chance of sporadic showers for the rest of the week.
