The 2022-23 budget is expected to be presented on February 1st during the first half of Parliament’s budget session, which normally starts in the last week of January each year.
In a statement released on Dec. 22, the Treasury Department said streamlining the income tax regime, infrastructure status for digital services and incentives for hydrogen storage, and fuel cell development were some of the suggestions made by various stakeholders at the pre-budget hearing Sitharaman meeting convened.
Interest groups include representatives and experts from agriculture and the agro-processing industry; Industry, infrastructure and climate change; Financial sector and capital markets; Services and commerce; social sector; & Labor Organization and Economists Union.
