You’d think that Man United would have enough money to meet all of Paul Pogba’s financial needs, but it’s very possible that his next move won’t be motivated by money alone.
A lot of fans see him as a frustrating player only because he’s fantastic for France, but Old Trafford just has something that doesn’t bring the best out of him.
Maybe he’s just not fit for the Premier League, maybe he has to play on an elite team that is built around him, and maybe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t know how to get the best out of him, but he does something is not correct.
At 28 years old, this is his best chance of getting another big deal during his prime, and a report from The Telegraph suggests he might actually go this summer.
It has been confirmed that he is not ready to sign a new contract and his current contract expires next summer. As a result, United must either sell him now or accept that he can sign a pre-contract with someone else in January.
At this point, PSG appears to be the most likely target for him, with the report claiming a formal approach is expected soon and he is likely to leave for a fee of around 50 million euros.
Under normal circumstances he would probably be worth twice as much, but finances are tight and United is overwhelmed by the contract situation so his exit seems inevitable.
