CM – Former Chelsea winger Robben confirms his second retirement at the age of 37


Former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben announced his retirement from football – for the second time – at the age of 37.

Robben was a key member of Jose Mourinho’s first Chelsea squad, winning between 2004 and In 2007, twice in the Premier League before moving to Real Madrid.

In his career, the Dutch international won 21 major honors, including the 2013 Champions League with Bayern Munich, and made the 2010 World Cup final.

He won 96 international matches for his country and is fourth on the all-time goalscorer list with 37 goals, tied with Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp.

He retired from football in 2019 after leaving FC Bayern, but returned back last year to play one last season at his first club Groningen.

For the Dutch club he only made six appearances last season due to injury and is now back from work for the second time.
