The city of Geelong and the surfing coast will be released from lockdown restrictions on Sunday evening at 11:59 p.m. Daniel Andrews has confirmed.
Health Minister Martin Foley confirmed on Saturday that the restrictions on the state’s surfing coast will be eased from midnight on Sunday while Victoria’s Prime Minister announced that Greater Geelong has been reviewed and safely exempted from these restrictions.
Foley hinted on Saturday that the outlook for Geelong was « relatively positive », but Mitchell Shire – that on Saturday seven new cases recorded – likely to remain banned.
