SAN FRANCISCO – Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been questioned for her game against the Chicago Bulls on Friday after being knocked out against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Green suffered a « pretty nasty » bruise or bruise on his right thigh, said coach Steve Kerr after the Warriors’ 123-110 win. He left the game in the middle of the third quarter and never returned.
« He got a bruise from the hives that was pretty bad, » said Kerr. “He’s got some ice on it now. First call it questionable for Friday. »
Green seemed to pinch his leg while attempting an offensive rebound and putback just before leaving the game. Despite concerns about his knee, the Warriors confirmed that the extent of the injury was a severe bruise on the thigh.
When Green left the game at 6:29 am in the third quarter, the Warriors had a dominant 79-63 lead over the Timberwolves. Minnesota reduced Golden State’s lead to just 5 points in the fourth quarter, but the Warriors held out their sixth straight win.
Before leaving the game, Green contributed seven points – all for fouls – as well as six assists and five rebounds.
Whether Green will be back for Friday’s fight against the Chicago Bulls is still in doubt, Kerr said.
