The British are increasingly afraid of expressing controversial views, and most young people, according to a study, have excluded someone because of their political views.
Just over half of adults under 30 said they were political Having made statements, having stopped speaking to someone in person or online.
The results, which are part of a study by Frank Luntz, suggest that younger people are more willing to “break off” relationships over the opinions of others.
More than a third of 30 to 49 year olds have stopped talking to anyone about political stance, and less than a fifth of 50 to 64 year olds.
