Jack Harvey continued his impressive qualifying form by finishing third in Sunday’s 55-lap NTT IndyCar Series race at Road America. The Meyer Shank Racing driver was grateful for the return to form after three tough races in which both qualifying and race results were disappointing.
“Every day you are in the Fast Six is a great day; To be P3 is a really solid achievement, ”said the 28-year-old Briton. “Everyone at # 60 AutoNation / Sirius XM Honda, we’ve had some tough results here. And I think the mental resilience of this team has shown not only for me, but for everyone in the team that when things don’t go that way, everyone has continued to work and focused on what we thought was important. ”Harvey hopes to take advantage of the second row starting position to recover after the recent string of bad finishes brought him to 13th place in the championship standings.
“Honestly, it’s a real one good day to everyone at Meyer Shank Racing, ”he said. « We just want to have a great result tomorrow and leave the weekend happy. »
