CM – Hawkeye’s first and only post-credits scene made us scratch our heads

The Hawkeye Finale is now streamed on Disney Plus, marking the end of this year’s MCU adventures. Marvel released four films and five TV shows in 2021, more than making up for last year’s hiatus. Hawkeye is sure to be one of the most exciting MCU events of the year, giving this beloved original Avenger its first independent adventure. The finale closes the Christmas story beautifully, delivering Hawkeye’s first and only post-credits scene.

While Hawkeye is one of the most exciting MCU shows of the year, the post-credits sequence is by far the most glaring and mysterious to date. If you haven’t seen the Hawkeye finale, then here are some spoilers you should avoid.

The final episode of this first season of Hawkeye is the longest in the series, but that’s because the finale has to tie up all the loose ends. We get one final fight and all of the revelations that will propel MCU history forward. Not all are particularly surprising.

Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) finally appears in person, in line with the cameo of Daredevil (Charlie Cox) in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s just as scary as ever. And his fight scene with Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) is just amazing.

As strong and brutal as Wilson Fisk may be – a teaser for future films and shows – Bishop is even more impressive. The MCU’s new Hawkeye more than does justice to this situation.

Bishop is for sure one of the most exciting Young Avengers we’ve seen, and we want to see a lot more of Steinfeld in the MCU.

Then there is also the character development of Echo (Alaqua Cox) in the Hawkeye finale. She finally stands up against Kingpin like we expected. But we’re pretty sure she didn’t kill him in that scene towards the end of the episode.

The Hawkeye finale also provides the face-off that we really wanted to see from the start. Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) finally have the emotional fight scene we envisioned. In Endgame they start talking about Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) and her fate. And the way Marvel honored Nat in Hawkeye is one of the highlights of the season and the entire series of Disney Plus shows.

Of course, Yelena is the other new Avenger that we expect to be in the future will see more. She is the new Black Widow and just clicks with the new Hawkeye. Your own fight scene in the finale is something you will want to watch all over again. As for the banter between these two characters, we need more of that in the MCU.

The Hawkeye finale also delivered the revelations we expected. Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga) was working with Kingpin and wanted Hawkeye dead. Laura Barton (Linda Cardellini) is a former SHIELD agent. And Kazi (Fra Fee) betrayed Echo’s father – he’s either dead or seriously injured, too.

The development of the Hawkeye finale might make you think you don’t need a post-credits scene. Almost everything is resolved and the obvious cliffhangers come during the episode. We already know we’ll see Kate, Yelena, Kingpin and Echo in future MCU adventures.

Then the Hawkeye post-credits scene falls, and it’s just as annoying as the first time. But this time we get the entire routine from the Rogers musical we saw in the first episode. And it’s so bad that you can’t wait for it to end. As it turns out, Rogers may not be a great show. But it’s clearly popular with Avengers fans in MCU reality.

One purpose of the scene is to subtly remind real-world MCU fans how important the Avengers are. Everyone expects them to return to save the day if another threat emerges. It might be wishful thinking, but the Rogers musical in the Hawkeye finale could be a teaser for Avengers 5 or Young Avengers.

We’ll also point out the obvious plot hole in the Rogers musical that needs formal explanation. There was no Ant-Man (Scott Lang) in the Battle of New York. Well, at least not in this reality. We really want to learn why Rogers makes it seem like the seventh Avenger.

Chris Smith started writing about gadgets as a hobby, and before he knew it, he was sharing his views on tech with readers around the world World. When he’s not writing about gadgets, he miserably fails to stay away from them, even though he tries desperately. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
