Australia’s ODI juggernaut doesn’t seem to be stopped right now. Not even when you reduce Meg Lanning’s side to 52/4 and have more than 200 runs left. The hallmark of this championship team is that they find a way to win from the most impossible situations. However, India can take heart that it would have fought the toughest fight the Aussies had since October 2017, and almost ended the series tonight. They can still do that on Sunday when they face the Aussies in their third day game, the last game to be played at Harrup Park in Mackay before the caravan moves to Carrara Oval in Gold Coast.

Yes, we are happy about the depth of the team. I thought India played the majority of the game pretty well. The most eventful game in this 26-match series. Mithali Raj, India Skipper: This was a great cricket game by both teams. I think it was a good cricket display. I wouldn’t say it’s a dead gum. Our loft department did really well, especially Smriti and Richa. I think it was a nervous final ball for me. It’s part of the game. We were all on the edge of the seat for the last ball.
