People who rage a bushfire in the leafy western suburbs of Perth have been told to leave the country if they are unwilling to actively defend their homes.
The fire burns in the thick and arid bushland in Bold Park in Floreat about 6 miles west of Perth near City Beach.
« There is a potential threat to life and homes as a fire approaches the area and conditions change, » it said in an emergency alert issued on Monday at around 4:10 p.m. local time.
« If you’re not prepared or plan to leave, leave now when the path is clear.
The area is one of the Perth’s affluent western suburbs and has numerous golf courses and natural bush parks, including 437 acre Bold Park.
