Explosive storms are forecast for a huge part of Queensland, spanning nearly 3,000 km.
In a very dangerous storm, a huge hail hit areas near Esk. It follows the northeast and is expected to hit Somerset Dam, Toogoolawah and Lake Somerset at 3:45 p.m. and Kilcoy, the area west of Kilcoy and Mount Mee, at 4:15 p.m.
It comes after a severe storm warning around 2:40 p.m. for parts of the municipal areas of Ipswich, Somerset, Scenic Rim, Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley.
Storms with noxious winds, large hailstones and heavy rains that can lead to flash floods are moving east.
It has been predicted to meet Laidley, Gatton, the area west of Esk and the area northwest of Esk at 3 p.m. and Esk, northern Lake Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam and Toogoolawah by 3:30 p.m.

According to BOM, severe thunderstorms could potentially develop along a line between Rolleston and Warwick.
Sites likely to be affected include Warwick, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Gympie, Ipswich, Kingaroy, Caboolture, Gatton and Jimboomba.
The Bureau of Meteorology today warned residents of Bamaga at the head of the State to the southern border to prepare for thunderstorms that could potentially cause hail, severe falls, and noxious winds.
