On Wednesday, Muslim leaders appealed to their Telangana congregation to offer Eid Al Fitr prayers at home in light of the nationwide lockdown.
Various religious leaders in the congregation hosted a webinar on the subject and appealed together people saying prayers at home.
Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslim (MIM) boss and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said the leaders had made a collective decision, given the lockdown and government decree closing everyone Places of worship « Namaz-e-Eid » should be offered at home.
« Three to four people will offer prayers in mosques because we cannot leave mosques, but everyone else should pray at home, » said Owaisi. He called for strict compliance with all Covid guidelines such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
