The move is part of a $ 90 million government program that provides 81 location-based solutions to digital connectivity problems in regional areas over a range of mobile and broadband services.
The Isaac Project will be the Improve connectivity through a wireless landline that includes four new 45-meter towers and two co-locations in the Isaac local government area.
Michelle Landry, MP for Capricornia, said the Isaac project would give people access to Provide improved broadband services and data.
She added that improved connectivity would support agricultural productivity by enabling the adoption of agtech and decision farming in a major livestock and growing area, including a new signature beef processing facility, that would create new jobs.
« This will help our businesses stay connected to us re families stay in touch and we can better access health, education and online services on the go, « she said.
Minister of Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, Paul Fletcher, said the regional connectivity program provide targeted improvements to connectivity in regional areas that need it most.
Federal Minister for Regional Communications Mark Coulton said the government has listened to the digital needs of regional communities and businesses and used the RCP to provide location-based solutions develop and deploy that have solved rural connectivity problems.
