Italian champions Inter Milan signed 35-year-old striker Edin Dzeko from Serie A rivals Roma on Saturday, just a day after hitting Romelu Lukaku for a reported £ 97m ($ 135m) fee to Chelsea.
In a quick one-two blow, Inter also announced that they have signed Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven.
« FC Internazionale Milano are delighted to announce the signing of Edin Dzeko The striker has moved permanently from Roma and has signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2023, « said a statement from Inter.
Former PSV skipper Dumfries (25) has a contract with Inter completed by June 2025.
In 2009 he helped Wolfsburg win their first and only Bundesliga title and ended the season as top scorer with 26 goals.
At Manchester City, he scored one of the goals in the defeat g egen QPR on the last day, which delivered the first English title for 44 years.
Dzeko is also Bosnia’s top scorer of all time with 59 goals in 114 games and helped his country get ready for the first major tournament, the 2014 World Cup, to qualify.
Dumfries played this summer when the Netherlands reached the round of 16 at Euro 2020, where they were knocked out by the Czech Republic.
He has 23 caps and two goals, both in the belated tournament in this summer.
