Blue Origin, led by Jeff Bezos, announced the first two members of the next flight of its New Shepard spacecraft. This will be New Shepard’s 18th flight to take off on October 12th.
The next New Shepard flight, named NS-18, will have a crew of four. These include Dr. Chris Boshuizen, a former NASA engineer and co-founder of Planet Labs, and Glen de Vries, vice chairman of Life Sciences & Healthcare, Dassault Systèmes and co-founder of Medidata.

De Vries expressed his excitement about being part of the next New Shepard flight on Twitter.

Blue Origin said in a statement that it intends to begin launching at 8:30 a.m. CDT from Launch Pad One in West Texas. This will be New Shepard’s second human flight, making its first human flight on July 20th with Jeff Bezos, his brother Mark Bezos, aviation pioneer Wally Funk, and Blue Origin’s first customer Oliver Daemen on board. p> Oops!
