Kacey Musgraves stripped everything for her Saturday Night Live appearance this weekend – im Literally.
The Grammy Award winning musician took the stage to perform her new song “Justified” from her recently released album “Star-Crossed”. During this set, Musgraves only wore one pair of leather cowboy boots. The calf-high style had pointy toes and a rounded upper, as well as intricate stitching on the sides. You can see her full performance below: However, Musgraves had additional outfit changes during the episode hosted by actor Owen Wilson. The singer from « Rainbow » wore a brown leather corset top with matching trousers and a gold necklace with a pendant for commercials promoting her appearance. She also donned a short brown flannel shirt and blue jeans for her second musical performance of « Camera Roll » later in the episode – but decided to go barefoot.
Cowboy boots are starting to be on trend this year as the vintage ones -Styles that became popular during the Y2K era have risen. Musgraves has worn the style for years because of her country music roots. In the past few months, a number of other celebrities have taken inspiration from the Wild West and worn cowboy boots, including Kendall Jenner, Lil Nas X, and Sophie Turner.
When it comes to shoes, boots are one of Musgraves’ favorite styles; Knee-high silhouettes are a favorite, like the bespoke brown Ralph Lauren pair she wore to the 2021 Met Gala. However, their repertoire often also includes other styles, such as protective mules and Gucci loafers. In his spare time, Musgraves values comfort and regularly wears Freedom Moses sandals, Adidas slippers and Nike sneakers.
