Recently released WWE wrestler Kalisto has spoken about his deepest regrets from his time at WWE. Regrets can be haunting things, especially when they have been under our own control all along.
For Kalisto, regret was not something he was done or planned and then discarded. Rather, it was something he wanted to suggest but never felt brave enough to do. Despite the consent of the wrestler involved.
The plan? A mask-on-mask match with Rey Mysterio. Kalisto detailed the plan during an interview with Chris Van Vliet for his Insight podcast.
Kalisto has been fired from WWE after 8 years with the company. He was a solid performer and held several championships during his time. But unfortunately, he never felt brave enough to propose his idea. That was until shortly before his release. He had his entire idea recorded on a storyboard and was finally ready to pitch Mr. McMahon but was released before he had the chance.
As he spoke, Kalisto explained how he had his idea to many of his colleagues featured, including Daniel Bryan, Edge and of course Rey Mysterio. Everyone thought his idea was fantastic. Paul Heyman went so far as to call it a genius and challenged the young star to come up with his idea.
Unfortunately, we never saw Kalisto face Re Mysterio in a WWE ring. This is something he openly admits to his own fault.
The man formerly known as Kalisto has not yet made any announcements about his ring return. However, he has already confirmed that he will return to his old ring name Samuray del Sol and have two new t-shirts available through his website or through Pro-Wrestling Tees.
