As a mirror of this unique time in history, the entire campus of the center will be brought to life with small personal events and newly designed virtual tributes, including the front plaza of the building, the Grand Foyer in front of the John F. Kennedy bust and the iconic Opera House stage. The program for each event includes both performances and speeches for the award winners. He continued, “Debbie Allen moves seamlessly between artistic disciplines and is a cultural ambassador for all while having a monumental impact on colored dancers everywhere; Folk icon Joan Baez breathed new life into the genre and spurred rock music’s turn to social and political awareness; as one of the best-selling music artists in the world, Garth Brooks sharpened the profile of country music like no other singer before him; With an international presence for over 35 years, violinist Midori combines graceful precision and expression for performances that create links between art and human experience; With a charm that has made him one of the most valued actors in show business history, Dick Van Dyke has brought us beloved film, stage and television characters who have been adored by generations of fans for more than seven decades.  »
