Omega and Andrade fought in the Arena Ciudad de México in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. Omega’s AAA Megacampeonato title was at stake.
Before the game, Konnan and Andrade had a disagreement backstage. Andrade told Konnan that he didn’t want him in his corner. As a result, Konnan entered the Omega locker room with a business proposal that would ensure victory.
Omega eventually made his appearance with Konnan. Andrade stunned the wrestling world when he brought out wrestling legend Ric Flair.
Towards the end of the game, Konnan distracted the referee on the ring apron. Kenny made big and knocked the referee against Andrade. He tried to hit Andrade with the belt, but Flair thwarted the attempt. He and Andrade took turns chopping Omega’s chest. Konnan got in the ring and got a figure four leg lock for his efforts. At the same time, Andrade had his own four on Omega.
However, Andrade was not enough. Kenny Omega was eventually able to hit Andrade with the belt. Then he nailed it with the one-winged angel to keep the gold. Omega remains a bit of a belt collector with the win, despite recently losing the Impact Wrestling World Title to Christian Cage.
